We are looking for a detail-oriented and energetic Warehouse Associate to join our residential electrical team. This isn’t just about moving boxes; you’ll be the backbone of our field operations, ensuring our electricians have exactly what they need—from Romex and recessed lighting to circuit breakers and panels—to keep residential projects on schedule.

• Order Fulfillment: Pulling "baskets" or kits for daily residential jobs based on pick sheets. Accuracy is critical to ensure field crews aren't missing parts on-site.
• Material Handling: Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy wire reels, conduit bundles, and bulk palletized gear.
• Inventory Management: Perform "up-stocking" by moving material from receiving areas to high-bay storage or active picking bins.
• Returns Processing: Inspecting and processing "Return to Stock" (RTS) materials from completed jobs. You'll determine if items are re-sellable, damaged, or need to be scrapped.
• Standard Warehouse Procedures:
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe "5S" workspace.
• Assisting with periodic cycle counts and inventory audits.

Work Environment

• Location: Warehouse-based.
• Schedule: Full-time, typically starting early morning to support field departures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The Residential Electrical Service Punch Technician is responsible for inspecting, finishing, troubleshooting, and correcting electrical "punch list" items on residential projects. This role bridges the gap between rough/trim installations and final client sign-off or municipal inspections. The ideal candidate possesses sharp troubleshooting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset to ensure every job site is clean, fully code-compliant, and finished to the highest standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Punch List Execution & Quality Assurance

• Review daily punch lists generated from internal quality checks, builder walkthroughs, or municipal inspections.
• Efficiently resolve open items, including crooked devices, loose cover plates, mislabeled breaker panels, or improper trim alignments.
• Inspect completed trim and service work for safety, functionality, and National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance.
• Test all outlets (GFCI/AFCI), light fixtures, three-way switches, dimmers, smoke detectors, and ceiling fans to verify proper operation before client handover.

2. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Diagnose complex electrical issues such as tripped breakers, open neutrals, crossed circuits, voltage drops, or non-functioning devices.
• Trace wiring inside walls or attic spaces with minimal drywall disruption to fix open/shorted circuits.
• Balance breaker loads and verify correct panel labeling.

3. Minor Repairs & Finishing Work

• Repair or replace damaged switches, receptacles, fixtures, breakers, or low-voltage devices damaged during construction.
• Perform minor drywall or surface patch repairs when small cutouts are required for fix-its.
• Seal outdoor fixtures and service entries against weather intrusion as required by code.

4. Site Cleanliness & Client Interaction

• Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring all wire scraps, packaging, and dust are removed after completing punch work.
• Communicate politely and professionally with homeowners, general contractors, or home inspectors on site.
• Walk home buyers or site superintendents through completed electrical features when required.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or technical school completion preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in residential electrical wiring, rough-in, trim, and service work.
• Licensing: Valid Electrical Apprentice card or Wireman Electrician License (preferred or required depending on state/local jurisdiction).
• Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle driving record (MVR).

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of residential wiring practices, NEC standards, and local building codes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, circuit schematics, and floor plans.
• Expert with standard electrical test equipment (digital multimeters, circuit tracers, GFCI testers, continuity testers).
• Strong manual dexterity with basic hand and power tools.

• Vision: Excellent color vision is required to accurately distinguish wire colors.

The Lead Custom Residential Electrician is responsible for oversight on-site electrical installations for luxury high-end custom homes, extensive renovations, and complex residential projects. Beyond executing high-level electrical technical work, this role serves as the field job lead—directing apprentices and helpers, managing daily workflow, enforcing safety and NEC compliance, and serving as the main point of contact for General Contractors and homeowners.

Core Responsibilities & Job Duties

1. Job Site Leadership & Job Management

• Daily Workflow Execution: Review blueprints, electrical schematics, and lighting control specs; map out daily task lists for the crew to keep projects on schedule and within labor budgets.
• On-Site Coordination: Serve as the primary field representative with General Contractors, architects, interior designers, and sub-trades to coordinate rough-in and trim-out timing.
• Material & Inventory Control: Audit job site inventory weekly, anticipate upcoming material needs, and submit precise material orders to prevent work stoppages.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-inspection walk-throughs prior to local building authority inspections (Rough-In, Service, and Final) to guarantee zero-fail outcomes.

2. Custom Electrical & Technical Execution

• Complex Rough-In & Trim: Install high-end architectural fixtures, concealed LED strip channels, landscape lighting systems, generators, and 200A–400A+ residential service panels.
• Smart Home & Automation Systems: Wire and program residential automation networks, custom lighting control panels (e.g., Lutron Homeworks, Control4, Crestron), motorized shades, and EV charging infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & Modifications: Diagnose complex circuit issues, plan non-destructive retrofits in completed spaces, and make real-time design adaptations to suit custom field conditions.

3. Apprentice & Helper Leadership

• Task Delegation: Assign clear, skill-appropriate daily assignments to apprentices/helpers while setting measurable productivity targets.
• Technical Instruction & Mentorship: Teach correct installation techniques (e.g., precise box placement, clean wire routing, panel makeup, and proper tool safety).
• Quality Verification: Inspect all work performed by apprentices/helpers before enclosure or energization to ensure alignment with company standards and NEC requirements.
• Performance Evaluation: Provide regular performance feedback, identify skill gaps, and mentor entry-level staff toward journeyman licensure.
